 Healthy Beetroot cutlet

Beetroot cutlet is a very healthy, tasty and easy snack. This can be a tea time snack. You can either deep fry or shallow fry these. Do try this easy recipe.

Ingredients:

Ø  1/4 cup Poha / Flattened rice

Ø  2 Beetroots cut into wedges

Ø  1 Potato cut into wedges

Ø  1/2 cup Finely chopped Green pepper

Ø  1/2 tsp Cumin powder

Ø  1 tsp Coriander powder

Ø  1/2 tsp Red chili powder

Ø  1/2 tsp Green chili garlic paste

Ø  Salt  to taste

Ø  1 tsp Lemon juice

Ø  1/2 cup Finely chopped Coriander leaves

Ø  Rava / Sooji

Ø  Oil

 

Method:

• In a blender pot, take poha and blend into fine powder.

• Heat up water in steamer.

• Put beetroot wedges, potato wedges into a dish and place the

  dish into steamer.

• Cover and steam for about 20 minutes on medium heat.

• Take beetroot and potato out into a dish.

• Peel the potato and grate it.

• Grate the beetroot into potato.

• Add ground poha, green pepper, cumin powder, coriander powder,

  red chili powder, green chili garlic paste, salt, lemon juice,

  coriander leaves and mix well.

•  Take a small ball and roll it into cutlet.

• Roll the cutlets into rava and keep aside.

• Heat up pan on medium heat and spread a little oil on it.

• Place the cutlets on the pan and top them with a little oil.

• After a few minutes, flip over and roast from other side as well.

• Take the cutlets out into a dish and serve with any sauce or

  chutney.
